Signature Vanilla Cake
A long time favourite for cakes and cupcakes.
Originally sourced from the Planet Cake Tea Party
300g plain flour
330g caster sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
225mls sour cream
A good squirt of vanilla paste
2 eggs and 1 egg white
Preheat oven to 160 degrees celsius*
Line baking tins**
Sift flour into bowl and add in all ingredients except for the egg and gently combine.
Add in eggs and mix on high until fluffy.
Place in desired tin and bake until the top is a pale golden colour.
Use a wooden skewer to check that cake is cooked.
Allow cake to cool before decoration.
*REMEMBER that all ovens are different, temperature is a guide only
